In July of 2015 Shift, with support from the Abortion Conversation Project, solicited the Texas artists to create a mural design that embodied the values and messages critical to women's empowerment and reproductive freedom. We specifically asked for designs containing the concepts of unity, peace, justice, diversity, gender equality and feminism.

The winning artist, Corina Carmona, installed her piece on the east side of the Whole Woman's Health of McAllen clinic building, in downtown McAllen, TX, and had this to say about the design:

"This is about women's reproductive justice and it's about history and the struggle women have faced. I'm sure women can relate to that, whether they are on either end of the spectrum."
